Karen Adams is a Stamford-based artist who specializes in landscapes and outdoor subjects. She has been painting in oils since she was a young girl in central New Jersey. Although she took a break from painting while in college, she returned to the art soon afterwards in NYC studying at Parsons and then in private classes. Recently she has been painting under the instruction of David Dunlop at the Silvermine Guild in New Canaan, CT. As seen in her work, she is inspired by her family's trips to local and national parks, most recently including Acadia, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. She hopes that her work portrays the beauty of our country to the viewer and allows them to appreciate it.
Ms. Adams' works reside in residential spaces in Connecticut, Florida, and Georgia.
Karen's work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions at the Stamford JCC, Stamford, CT, Dew Yoga, Stamford, CT, Silvermine Arts Guild, New Canaan, CT and the Larchmont Public Library, Larchmont, NY.
